Family court, child support, and child welfare, systems that were created to protect our children, often diminish child safety, wellbeing, and family resilience.  These systems disproportionately impact society’s most vulnerable families, typically those in low-income communities of color. These systems make life more difficult because they exacerbate conflict instead of encouraging and promoting cooperation between parents who are separated or might not have ever been together.

Colorado Resilience knows that parents who choose to work together, we call them heroes, to provide and care for their children are much better off when they figure it out on their own and avoid the child support system. We believe that when most parents know the Pros of working together versus the Cons of system involvement, they will do the right thing every time.

We are establishing a multipart program that will include education, online videos & tools, early intervention, resource navigation, simplified family agreements (property division, custody, child support) and professional services (coaches, mediators, paralegals) to minimize family court involvement and avoid the child support system altogether.

This program is for parents who want to be heroes for their children and for themselves. For parents who can put any differences aside and choose to work together, with mutual respect and grace, to provide and care for their children to the best of their ability.

This program is not for bad actor parents or parents who have defaulted into a victim or villain mindset.

More to come.
