Active-Duty Military & Veteran
Divorce & Custody Services
Thank you for serving America, for protecting our freedoms, and protecting our way of life. Thank you!
The US military is often thought of as a microcosm of American society. Military members and their families face many of the same challenges as those who didn’t serve. Unfortunately, sometimes those difficulties can be exacerbated because of military service.
Case in point is divorce. The divorce rate among members of the US military is almost twice the national average of the US civilian divorce rate. While there are many reasons that factor into this reality, one thing is for certain, active or veteran military members should never be disadvantaged in divorce or custody issues simply because they served.
Colorado Resilience recognizes that while military (active or veteran) members often have unique circumstances for a variety of reasons, the importance of their role in the lives of their children should never be unjustly diminished.
Most military members like most civilians, when facing divorce or custody decisions, choose to have a hero’s mindset when figuring out co-parenting and support post separation. For those parents with a hero mentality, reaching positive agreements that keep both parents involved as equals in their children’s lives is quick and drama free.
Colorado Resilience will soon offer very inexpensive property division, co-parenting, and child support agreements for these hero parents.
Unfortunately, since not all parents, military or civilian, choose to embrace a hero’s mentality when getting divorced or figuring out custody, Colorado Resilience will develop a network of military specialists (lawyers and such) to help ensure both parents are treated and respected as equals.
